The Leadership Team of Roseway Manor is seeking a Physiotherapy Assistant to join our Team. Our 66 residents come from all walks of life, with different needs and abilities.

The Rehabilitation Assistant will provide designated treatments and interventions; they will also perform work related duties as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Monthly wheelchair and sling inspections
  • Weekly ROHO mattress/cushion inspections
  • Maintenance of medical equipment
  • Labelling, organizing, and keeping track of Red Cross inventory
  • Red Cross equipment audits as required by Red Cross
  • Assisting Occupational Therapist with Red Cross paperwork
  • Obtaining quotes from vendors for medical equipment
  • Submitting requests to replace damaged equipment
  • Cleaning and returning Red Cross equipment
  • Transfer and Lift training delivery to all staff
  • Initial assessment of resident transfer upon admission with RN supervision
  • Walking programs/individualized ROM exercise programs as PT/OT suggests

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a recognized Occupational/Physiotherapy Assistant Program or hold a Continuing Care Assistant Certification
  • Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.14-$21.50 per hour
