Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, with opportunities to operate heavy equipment and vehicles as needed. Prior experience with commercial driving, forklift operation, and freight handling is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
  • Ensure accurate delivery of products while adhering to scheduled routes and timelines
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles and report any maintenance issues
  • Assist with loading and securing freight to prevent damage during transit
  • Maintain proper documentation for deliveries and pickups
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or delays
  • Follow all safety protocols related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance or repairs if required

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Experience in commercial driving and freight transportation preferred
  • Ability to operate forklifts, heavy equipment, and other industrial machinery (certification is a plus)
  • Knowledge of automotive repair basics is advantageous
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift heavy loads safely and work in physically demanding environments
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
  • Prior experience with freight handling or warehouse operations is beneficial
