Kennel Attendant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and welfare, providing essential support in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our furry guests. This role involves hands-on interaction with animals and requires strong customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for pet owners.

Duties

• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, scooping yards, and watching over dogs and cats.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kennel area by pressure washing and sanitizing kennels, and mopping our main areas consistently.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to staff or management.
• Assist with customer service tasks, including checking in/out pets and addressing client inquiries with professionalism.
• Support team members in heavy lifting tasks related to animal care, such as moving supplies or larger pets as needed.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff.

Experience

• Previous experience in animal care or kennel work is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
• Strong customer service skills are necessary to effectively communicate with pet owners and provide exceptional service.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling supplies or larger animals.
