Responsibilities:

  • Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget for kitchen projects.
  • Design Development: Create detailed kitchen designs, including layouts, specifications, and color schemes using design software.
  • Space Planning: Optimize kitchen layouts for functionality, including the arrangement of appliances, cabinets, and workspaces.
  • Material Selection: Recommend materials and finishes for countertops, cabinets, flooring, and fixtures, considering durability and style.
  • Rendering and Prototyping: Produce visual representations such as 3D renderings or models to help clients visualize the final product.
  • Collaboration: Work with contractors, builders, and other professionals to ensure designs are executed properly within budget and timeline.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs comply with building codes and regulations related to safety and accessibility.
  • Project Management: Oversee the project from conception to completion, addressing any issues that arise during the installation process.
  • Budget Management: Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring that designs meet financial parameters.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of latest trends in kitchen design, appliances, and technology to incorporate innovative solutions.

Skills Required:

  • Proficient in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision).
  • Strong understanding of space planning, ergonomics, and design principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients and teams.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in interior design, architecture, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Experience in residential design, specifically kitchens, is highly desirable.
  • Certification in design would be a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
