Stone Mason

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in masonry work, including building and restoring structures using various materials. This role involves interpreting blueprints, operating heavy equipment, and utilizing a range of hand and power tools. The Mason will contribute to renovation, restoration, and new construction projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Construct, repair, and restore structures such as walls, fireplaces, facades, and other masonry elements using bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other materials
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Mix mortar or concrete according to specifications for various projects
• Assist with demolition and preparation of work sites for new construction or renovation projects
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining safety standards
• Conduct routine inspections of work sites to identify potential issues or hazards

Qualifications

• Proven experience in masonry or construction with a strong understanding of masonry techniques
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
• Knowledge of renovation and restoration processes within the construction industry
• Familiarity with schematics related to construction projects
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights if necessary

Pay: $20.87-$40.00 per hour
