Description

Our Client is seeking an Intermediate Application Developer to support a variety of applications. The successful candidate will deliver applications programming and analysis tasks as part of a system development process as well as provide application support, maintenance and enhancements.

Resource will work remotely, though must be available for onsite meetings when required. Onsite meetings could be up to 3-4 times per month. Must be Canadian Citizen to apply and work must be done from within Alberta during regular business hours, due to network and data security issues.

Experience Required/Mandatory Skills

  • Experience developing any of the following: multi-user, n-tier, Object Oriented, Web Services, JSON REST API applications using C#, .NET, or Visual Studio. (5+ years)
  • Experience developing or maintaining existing applications by using a standardized methodology (Agile Software Development, Waterfall, Joint Application Development, Rapid Application Development). (5+ years)
  • Experience and technical knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server. (5+ years)
  • Experience in application maintenance and development that include: writing, modifying, integrating, testing, and documenting software code. (5+ years)
  • Experience in designing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting applications in a controlled production environment. (5+ years)
  • Experience using Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps Server. (5+ years)
  • Experience working in a large and complex development environment. (3+ years)

Nice To Have Skills

  • Experience developing and maintaining web applications using ASP.NET and ASP.MVC controls. (4+ years)
  • Experience developing and maintaining web applications with JQuery / JavaScript. (3+ years)
  • Experience creating, maintaining, or troubleshooting SSIS packages and scheduled SSIS jobs. (3+ years)
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, deployment, and observability.
  • Experience using a version-controlling tool (Tortoise GIT, Tortoise SVN and Version Manager and MS Azure DevOps). (3+ years)
