Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Head Swim Instructor to join our aquatic team. This role involves teaching swimming skills to individuals of all ages and skill levels in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and swimming, along with excellent communication skills. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on participants' confidence and safety around water while fostering a love for swimming.

Duties

  • Conduct swimming lessons for children, teens, and adults, tailored to individual skill levels
  • Develop lesson plans that promote skill development, water safety, and confidence-building
  • Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and monitoring activities during lessons
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to improve technique and performance
  • Maintain a clean and organized teaching environment, including pool area and equipment
  • Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress and safety protocols
  • Assist with water safety education programs
  • Train and assist swim instructors
  • oversee and manage swim instructors

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in teaching swimming or related water instruction preferred
  • Strong swimming skills with the ability to demonstrate techniques clearly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students of diverse ages and backgrounds
  • Certification in CPR, First Aid, or Water Safety Instruction (preferred but not required; training available)
  • Passion for teaching and fostering a positive learning environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 4 per week
