Senior aerospace researchers rarely lack capability. What they increasingly lack is room to decide where their work should go next — beyond platform constraints, program cycles, or incremental upgrades.
We are supporting a national-level aerospace innovation initiative focused on advanced aeronautics and space systems, designed for a small, highly selective group of industry researchers with proven system-level impact.
This is not a job opening. There is no predefined role, no fixed employer, and no immediate relocation.
Instead, the initiative starts with the individual — and a question aerospace experts understand well: If program constraints were removed, which part of the system would you push forward?
Areas of focus include (but are not limited to):
Aerospace materials & structures (high-temperature materials, composites, lightweight systems)
Propulsion & energy systems (aero-engines, electrification, hydrogen, thermal management)
Space systems & payloads (satellites, power systems, mission-driven integration)
System-level engineering, validation, and scale-up in aviation and space environments
What distinguishes this pathway:
You define the technical and system direction, not a hiring manager
Independent funding to drive large-scale validation, integration, or redirection of your work
Full discretion over industry, platform, or system partnerships
A multi-year horizon aligned with real aerospace development cycles
This initiative is typically relevant for researchers who:
Hold a PhD from a globally recognized university (QS Top 200)
Have 5+ years of post-PhD experience in aerospace or closely related industrial sectors
Have worked on real systems — engines, aircraft, spacecraft, subsystems, or mission-critical platforms
Are now evaluating what comes after the senior expert / principal engineer stage
