About the Opportunity

Are you energized by the intersection of strategy, systems, and innovation? Join a dynamic team where you'll collaborate with project stakeholders and operational teams to shape workflows, optimize processes, and define business requirements. You'll play a key role in aligning current processes with a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) platform, helping build a scalable operating model that enables data capture, reporting, and AI-driven insights.

This is a hands-on role in a forward-thinking environment where your work directly impacts efficiency, compliance, and the success of technology implementations. You'll work closely with business subject matter experts, project leads, and vendors, ensuring solutions meet real-world operational needs while supporting long-term business objectives.

What's In It for You

You'll be part of a collaborative culture that values innovation and continuous improvement. Gain exposure to large-scale technology implementations and opportunities to influence process and platform design. Work with cross-functional teams, enhance your expertise in COTS deployments, and contribute to transformative initiatives that make a tangible difference.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you'll:

  • Conduct market scans and evaluate vendor solutions to meet business needs.
  • Analyze and document current ("as-is") workflows, systems, and practices.
  • Lead fit-gap analyses to align current processes with future-state models and platform capabilities.
  • Identify gaps, risks, and areas requiring configuration, process improvement, or change management.
  • Translate findings into actionable business requirements and user stories.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and project leads to develop RFPs and evaluate vendors.
  • Participate in design and configuration review sessions, ensuring requirements are incorporated.
  • Build strong working relationships with client teams and vendor leads.
  • Lead UAT planning and execution.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and collaborative design sessions to gather input and ensure buy-in.
  • Support business readiness, including training plans and documentation for successful implementation.

Skills and Qualifications

Experience

  • 7–10 years in business analysis, system/process analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven experience conducting fit-gap analyses and onboarding teams onto new technology or platforms.
  • Experience with software implementations, including major COTS deployments.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles to develop training for technical solutions.
  • Experience in government-funded projects or pan-Canadian initiatives is an asset.
  • Background in healthcare, education, or regulated professional environments is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies and tools (process mapping, use cases, requirements traceability).
  • Familiarity with software implementation lifecycles (Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid).
  • Excellent facilitation, interviewing, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Teams, Visio, and business analysis tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Understanding of qualitative data analysis, reporting, and AI tools for data insights.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and frameworks.

Competencies

  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work autonomously.
  • Collaborative team player across multi-disciplinary functional teams.
  • Strong relationship-building, judgment, discretion, and diplomacy.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, business administration, or related field.
  • Certifications considered an asset: CBAP, Prosci, PMP, Agile (Scrum Master, SAFe), Prince2, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
