Pasabayan is a peer-to-peer delivery platform connecting travelers with people who need to send packages. Think of it as "rideshare for packages" – we're building the future of community-driven logistics in Canada.

Tech Stack:

iOS: Swift 5, SwiftUI, Combine

Architecture: MVVM, Clean Architecture

Networking: URLSession, REST APIs

Payments: Stripe iOS SDK

Backend: Laravel API, PostgreSQL

Tools: Xcode 15+, Git, TestFlight

Position: iOS Developer Intern

Location: Remote (within Montreal, QC)

Duration: 3–6 months (flexible)

Commitment: 10–20 hours/week (flexible)

Important Note

This is an unpaid internship. We're a startup in early stages and cannot offer monetary compensation at this time.

Interns receive:

• Hands-on experience contributing to a production iOS application

• Mentorship and guidance from experienced developers

• Portfolio-ready projects and documented contributions

• A reference letter upon successful completion

• Flexible scheduling to accommodate academic commitments

• Exposure to a live App Store–published application

• Building and maintaining iOS app features using SwiftUI

• Debugging and fixing issues reported by users and QA

• Improving existing features based on user feedback

• Developing new features from design through App Store release

• Integrating REST APIs and managing data models

• Payment integration using the Stripe iOS SDK

• User authentication and basic security practices

• Writing unit and UI tests

• Participating in TestFlight testing and App Store submissions

• Performance optimization and UX improvements

Example Projects:

• User verification and onboarding flows

• Real-time delivery tracking using MapKit

• In-app messaging and notifications

• Payment processing and transaction history

• Rating and review interfaces

• Push notification handling

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Students or self-learners interested in iOS development (no degree required)

• Basic experience with Swift through coursework, tutorials, or personal projects

• Some familiarity with SwiftUI or UIKit

• Understanding of core iOS concepts (views, navigation, data flow)

• Access to a Mac for development

• Good communication skills

• Self-motivated and reliable

Nice to Have:

• Personal iOS projects or sample apps

• Experience with UIKit

• Git/GitHub experience

• Familiarity with MVVM or similar architecture patterns

• Basic understanding of REST APIs and JSON

Not Required:

• A formal degree

• Professional work experience

• Published App Store apps

• Perfect code – best practices will be taught during the internship

How It Works

Week 1: Xcode setup, codebase walkthrough, first small UI task

Months 2+: Contribution to real features with increasing independence

Completion: Reference letter, portfolio documentation, and potential paid role
