This is a unique "best of both worlds" opportunity where you will influence high-level product strategy and documentation governance while staying deeply connected to the code through 50% hands-on backend development.Key Exciting ResponsibilitiesDrive Cloud Modernization: Architect and execute the transition from a monolithic desktop application into scalable, AWS-hosted microservices.Own the API Ecosystem: Lead the evolution of our public-facing APIs and customer web applications, ensuring top-tier reliability and performance.Mentor and Lead: Guide a talented remote development team, translating complex business requirements into clear technical roadmaps and actionable tasks.Ensure Architectural Excellence: Establish high standards for documentation and design, ensuring all services are built for long-term scalability and cross-divisional integration.Essential Skills & ExperienceAWS Expert: You have 5+ years of experience building and managing cloud-based systems on AWS.C# Backend Pro: Deep proficiency in backend development using C# is required.Architectural Visionary: You possess a proven track record in microservices decomposition, API design, and distributed systems.Clear Communicator: You are a natural communicator with a proven talent for documenting technical plans and leading offshore engineering teams.Bonus Points For:Experience with Geospatial, GIS, or mapping technologies.Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) or Event-Driven Architecture.Background in API-first product development and cross-enterprise integrations.Expereince working with or leading international teamsLogistics:Location: Richmond Hill, ON, HybridTravel Requirement:
