This position works rotating days, evenings; 06:45 to 13:00, 06:45 to 14:45, 06:45 to 14:53, 14:45 to 21:00, 13:00 to 21:00, 13:00 to 21:08

What Will You Work On?

This position operates the switchboard, public address and paging systems accepting and directing calls from a variety of customers according to established policies, standards and procedures; receives and directs patients and visitors; registers patients; responds to and monitors hospital alarms and emergency codes; maintains physician on-call/vacation lists; and performs a variety of clerical duties related to receiving and registering of patients, identifying bed booking options, and cashier functions.

  • A Cover Letter stating your availability to start in a new position and on-call, casual work (i.e. days of the week).

Education, Training & Experience:

Grade 12, two year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

 Ability to keyboard at 45 w.p.m. or greater, dated within the past 48 months and must be issued from a valid institution only. (non-supervised tests are not accepted)

 Knowledge of medical terminology
