Posting will close February 3, 2026.

This position is required to work in the Vulcan or Claresholm branch office.

However, periodically may be asked to work in other AFSC branches. Travel in these circumstances will be reimbursed according to AFSC's Employee and Board of Directors Expense Policy.

Reporting to a Team Leader Lending, the Relationship Manager Lending is responsible to provide lending expertise coupled with basic knowledge of specific AFSC products and some acquired knowledge of the clients' business/operations in providing such support.

What will your growth opportunities look like in this role?

  • Expand and develop your subject matter expertise in agricultural and commercial lending.
  • Leadership and mentorship role within the Lending Team.
  • Participation in in-house and outside developmental learning opportunities.

What will you be responsible for?

  • You will be responsible for the growth and management of a lending portfolio.
  • Prepare and submit quality loan submissions supported by strong financial analysis and risk mitigation.
  • Enhanced client interactions using in person and digital platforms.

  • An excellent communicator who works collaboratively with key partners within and outside of AFSC.
  • A results focused and accountable individual that enjoys working with a portfolio of clients.
  • Advanced credit underwriting and risk assessment skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Related Diploma and two (2) years related experience
  • Preferred: Related Degree and four (4) years related experience
  • Candidates may be considered based on a combination of education and related experience
