GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Equipment Operator will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of various machines. The Equipment Operator reports directly to the Press Department Manager. Follows all safety procedures, understands all safety equipment, and adheres to company policies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Discuss daily workflow with Press Department Manager & Print Transition Coordinator
- Set up Equipment.
- Complete operation Machines.
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve machine issues.
- Complete daily and bi-weekly maintenance.
- Ensure work area and machine are cleaned & maintained.
- Empty Garbage into the correct recycle/garbage bins.
- Any further tasks as assigned by the Department Manager.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong attention to detail and high level of organization.
- General mechanical aptitude is an asset.
- Must have the ability to multitask.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Positive work ethic and excellent attendance record.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or Level 12 G.E.D.
- Machine operator/production experience an asset.
- Knowledge of measuring systems is an asset.
