Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dealership team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repairs. Your responsibilities will include assessing customer needs, explaining repair options, and coordinating service appointments with our skilled technicians. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, automotive knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Previous dealership experience is highly valued to enhance your ability to accurately diagnose and recommend services.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming environment
  • Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately record vehicle issues and service requests
  • Explain repair and maintenance options clearly, including necessary services and upselling additional repairs when appropriate
  • Prepare detailed work orders and communicate customer needs to the service technicians effectively
  • Provide accurate estimates of repair costs and turnaround times
  • Handle cash transactions securely and maintain accurate financial records
  • Follow up with customers regarding vehicle status, additional services needed, or future maintenance recommendations
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through attentive service and professional communication
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of automotive repair procedures, dealership services, and current promotions

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in an automotive dealership or repair shop is preferred
  • Mechanical knowledge of vehicles and automotive systems is highly advantageous
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required
