What you'll do:
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service daily and the following tasks:
- Welcome and advise in-store customers and perform related tasks such as order preparation and follow-up
- Provide administrative and technical support to internal clients.
- Provide creative customer service techniques, show an ability to source products and maintain satisfactory inventory levels
- Capable of communicating on multiple levels with external customers with the objective of increasing counter sales through upselling
- Support Branch Manager in obtaining all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), safety goals and an excellent net operating profit
- Pre-call customer orders
- Responsible for entering invoices into SAP, preparing credit notes, sorting documents, filing, and processing telephone orders
- Actively solicits new sales in store and via outgoing calls
- Maximize counter sales and handle telephone enquiries from customers or prospective customers
- Back-up for deliveries as needed
- Receive incoming hardgoods shipments from vendors and intercompany warehouses
What it takes:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an inside sales or administrative experience preferably in an industrial environment
- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent experience
- Comfortable with computers with the Microsoft Office suite
- Industrial sales skills
- Ability to handle and lift goods up to 50 lbs.
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Assets to have:
- Knowledge of the gas and/or welding industry
- Valid Class 3 or DZ license with air brakes
- Knowledge of SAP software
