Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Slitter Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining slitting equipment to produce precise cuts in various materials, ensuring high-quality output. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical systems, and safety protocols. Candidates with experience in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and warehouse operations will excel in this position.

Duties

  • Operate and monitor slitting machines, ensuring accurate cuts according to specifications.
  • Set up and adjust equipment using CAD drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, and CNC programming tools.
  • Use hand tools, calipers, and other measurement devices to verify dimensions and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints for proper machine setup and product assembly.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure finished products meet company standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety regulations at all times.

Skills

  • Experience with rotary dies, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes.
  • Skilled in machining techniques including use of hand tools, calipers, and basic math calculations for measurements.
  • Strong understanding of quality control procedures and manufacturing standards.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and packaging processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues efficiently. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment where precision, safety, and quality are paramount.
