Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join our financial services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely account reconciliation. Duties

  • Prepare and process invoices using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure accurate financial transactions
  • Perform account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial data
  • Conduct data entry with high precision to maintain up-to-date billing records
  • Analyze account statements and perform account analysis to identify discrepancies or issues
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams through effective phone etiquette and negotiation skills
  • Assist in month-end closing procedures and financial reporting tasks
  • Support bookkeeping activities and maintain organized financial documentation
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing billing inquiries promptly and professionally

Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping processes
  • Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately
  • Effective account reconciliation and account analysis capabilities
  • Strong math skills for accurate data entry and calculations
  • Good negotiation skills for resolving billing disputes or discrepancies
  • Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service orientation
  • Ability to perform detailed data entry with high accuracy
  • Familiarity with financial services industry standards and practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.75-$46.37 per hour
