Homestead Marketplace, the heart of community-driven commerce in Quinte West, is expanding its team with an opportunity for a dedicated Director at the Factory Store, located in Quinte West. Factory Store is Quinte's premier retailer for outdoor power equipment featuring brands like Husqvarna, Echo, Ducar, Ariens and Gravely.

As the Director, this crucial role will oversee all retail operations of our outdoor power equipment division, which include lawn tractors, zero turns, chainsaws, mowers, trimmers, blowers and various parts and accessories. This position requires strong leadership and organizational skill, as well as motivation to become the leader in a fast paced, high volume retail location.

What you'll do to be successful in this role:

  • Work closely with customers to find the right products and services to suit their needs and wants
  • Coordinate deliveries and pickups of sold products
  • Willingness to learn power equipment parts and service requirements
  • Showroom merchandising and tagging
  • A desire to grow in knowledge and expertise in outdoor power equipment
  • Work with a team of professionals to achieve growth in sales, profitability and customer satisfaction

What you'll bring to the team:

  • Experience in sales and/or service of outdoor power equipment is a huge asset.
  • Willingness to learn and help out wherever needed
  • Ability to foster and grow strong relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Leadership and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel etc.) and Google Mail
