What You'll Do
As a Composite Technician, you'll perform composites repairs on a large variety of aircraft components, and to contribute to the manufacturing of various aircraft parts. The job will need you to design and manufacture molds and other tools (templates, etc.) to help you perform your tasks.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure that the work is performed according to quality standards, documentation, policies and procedures of M1 Composites and applicable regulations (Transport Canada, FAA, EASA etc.);
- Inform the quality manager of any irregularities related to the maintenance work;
- Perform damage inspection;
- Determine the repair plan;
- Choose and adjust the equipment;
- Identify the necessary equipment;
- Carry out refurbishment;
- Control the quality of raw materials and finished parts;
- Ensure the maintenance of production tools;
- Design the molds, if necessary;
- Perform the design and manufacture of tooling & composite parts, jigs, molds and prototypes using the appropriate molding technique or the appropriate molding process;
- Ensure that his workspace is clean and safe at all times.
What You Bring (Qualifications/Skills)
- Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) or a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in composite materials, processing technology or DEC/DEP in aeronautics or aircraft maintenance;
- You have at least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in composite materials;
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals;
- Proactive with problem solving skills;
- To be meticulous in your workmanship and documentation;
- Initiative, resourcefulness, and sense of responsibility;
- Ability to work well in a team, as well as alone with little supervision;
- Bilingual (French and English*) is a major asset.
* The position requires a very good knowledge of English, both oral and written. The position involves reading and understanding technical documents in English on a daily basis, especially from international companies, as well as regular communication with customers, suppliers and other international stakeholders.

Ce que vous ferez
En tant que technicien composite, vous aurez comme principale fonction de mettre en oeuvre des matériaux composites notamment : fabriquer, assembler et réparer de pièces complexes en matériaux composites. Concevoir et fabriquer des moules et autres outillages (gabarits, etc) servant à la fabrication. Assemblage des composantes de produits intégrés (matériaux composites et autres).
Vos responsabilités seront les suivantes:
- S'assurer que le travail est exécuté selon les standards de qualité, la documentation, les politiques et procédures de M1 Composites et de la réglementation applicable (Transport Canada, FAA, EASA etc.);
- Informer le responsable de la qualité de toutes irrégularités reliées au travail de maintenance;
- Effectuer l'inspection des dommages;
- Déterminer le plan de réparation;
- Choisir et régler les équipements;
- Identifier le matériel nécessaire;
- Procéder à la remise à neuf;
- Contrôler la qualité des matières premières et des pièces finies;
- Veiller à la maintenance des outils de production;
- Concevoir les moules, si nécessaire;
- Effectuer la conception et la fabrication d'outillage & de pièces composites, de gabarits, de moules et de prototypes selon la technique de moulage appropriée ou le procédé de moulage approprié;
- S'assurer que son espace de travail est propre et sécuritaire en tout temps.
Ce que vous apportez (qualifications/compétences)
- Diplôme d'études collégiales (DEC) ou un diplôme d'études professionnelles (DEP) en technique de transformation en matériaux composites ou DEC/DEP en aéronautique ou maintenance d'aéronefs;
- Vous possédez au moins 5 années d'expérience pertinente dans les matériaux composites;
- Maitrise de l'anglais, et/ou du français parlé et écrit.
- Capable de lire les dessins techniques et instructions de travail en anglais;
- Familier avec les manuels de réparation structurale.
- Bilingue (francais et anglais*) est un atout majeur.
* Le poste requiert une très bonne connaissance de l'anglais, tant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit. Le poste implique la lecture et la compréhension de documents techniques en anglais sur une base quotidienne, en particulier de la part d'entreprises
