Job Description: As part of an interdisciplinary team, the Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) with Intermediate Care Services (ICS) performs urgent, non-emergent assessments and treatments of patients to provide accessible, equitable, and safe care where patients need it most.   . 

Human Resources Exemption: No

Education

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic/Advanced Care Paramedic currently licensed in the Province of Saskatchewan.
  • Current CPR level "C".
  • Current ACLS and PALS.
  • Current ITLS - Advanced.
  • Phlebotomy and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification is an asset

Experience

  • Minimum of 24 months previous experience working as an Advanced Care Paramedic
  • Previous community-based experience is an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Physically fit

Other Information

  • This is a community-based position providing services with the Primary Health Care Networks (Regina) Home base for this position is: 1504 Albert Street
  • Registered/eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body
  • Must have a valid Saskatchewan driver's license. This position requires access to a vehicle for work purposes
  • Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.  HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the selection criteria
