Description

Jefferies is seeking an Associate to join our Canadian Research team in Toronto. The associate will be working for all three of the Canadian analysts (Financials, Metals and Mining, and Energy). The role involves supporting coverage of companies under the direction of the Senior Analysts. Over time, the Associate will help communicate recommendations to sales, trading, and clients, and may participate in management meetings and industry conferences.

Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining financial models and industry databases
  • Assisting with earnings reports, company updates, and research publications
  • Gathering and analyzing data from filings, reports, and industry sources
  • Collaborating with the broader global equity research teams

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in equity research or investment banking
  • Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related field
  • Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
