Job Overview
We are seeking skilled individuals for the position of Air Carbon Arc Gouging Specialist. This role involves utilizing air carbon arc gouging techniques and performing pipe insertremoval to prepare metal surfaces and components for welding, fabrication, or inspection. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of welding principles, fabrication practices, and safety protocols, along with hands-on experience in industrial or metalworking environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform air carbon arc gouging and pipe insert removal efficiently and accurately according to job specifications.
- Prepare work areas by ensuring all necessary tools, materials, and safety equipment are available and in good working condition.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Inspect finished work to ensure quality standards are met, making adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and contribute to overall production goals.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and reporting any issues to supervisors promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in air carbon arc gouging, pipe insert removal, or related welding/fabrication processes preferred.
- Strong understanding of welding and safety practices, with the ability to operate machinery and tools safely.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy materials as needed.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
