Kitchen Designer and Sales Associate

Summary of Position:
The Kitchen Designer & Sales Associate is responsible for supporting the Kitchen Design Team. This role a hybrid roll of sales, design and administration. In this role you will support Sr Designers, assisting in client meetings, preparing design packages, and preparing presentation materials as required. You will also provide support to the administrative team, assisting with project coordination, calendaring, proofing packages, and other duties as assigned. You are innovative, creative and a team player who is able to lead by example in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You will be required to design and sell your own projects after a 3 month training period.
Responsibilities:
Support both the builder and retail sales teams
Provide assistance to the administrative team.
Qualify new leads, building relationships and converting them to clients.
Achieve individual sales targets to support overall company objectives.
Work with Sr Designers to liaise with clients in order to develop design approaches that exceed expectations.
Draw and price kitchen designs using our in-house software.
Assist in the planning of production schedules and workflow for the entire design process from start to finish / project manage entire job.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
A minimum of 3 years professional experience in an kitchen design, interior design, renovation, or related environment.
Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Experience in a sales & design role is an asset.
Excellent design and conceptual skills as evidenced in personal portfolio.
Comfortable working in MS Office Suite with expert knowledge of MS Excel.
University Degree or College Diploma in Canada in Interior Design, Architecture or equivalent an asset.
Proficient in Cabinet Vision, 20/20, AutoCAD an asset
Soft Skills:
Exceptional organizational skills, with high attention to detail.
Passionate self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated effective deadline management, and project management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills required to communicate with a broad range of individuals including key members of design teams, various stakeholders and clientele.
Ability to analyze and interpret user requirements.
Solid design and conceptual skills.
Good at screening customers and understanding their budget requirements.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to go onsite, measure and co-ordinate projects.
Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Valid Drivers License and Car Required to visit sites and deliver products.
Laptop that can run design software.
Cell phone with lots of storage to take pictures and communicate with team.
This job is located in Ajax, ON with frequent local travel (GTA) during working hours.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
