Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. Areas of law include Wills, Estates and Conveyancing. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and a solid understanding of legal processes. This role is essential in supporting lawyers with document preparation and maintaining organization. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Our Law Firm has a long-standing, reputable, and diverse rural/urban practice in the Leduc, Beaumont, Devon and South Edmonton areas.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project timelines and ensure deadlines are met for various legal tasks.
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning documents, and managing correspondence.
  • Organize and schedule appointments as needed.

Experience

  • Experience in an administrative role within a law firm or legal department is required.
  • Familiarity with legal drafting processes and terminology is highly desirable.
  • Strong project management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple files simultaneously.
  • Proficient in data entry with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Salary will commensurate with experience.
