The Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine Program (HRLMP) is a collaborative program funded and operated jointly by the Hamilton Health Sciences and St. Joseph's Hospital. The Program is committed to change and innovation, through education, service and research, to bring the highest quality science into health care for the benefit of the community, and to participate in the clinical application and interpretation of the science. 

The Quality Specialist will assist in the development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of the HRLMP Quality Management System to meet patient, client and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include\: facilitates quality improvement projects using quality tools and standard methodology, development and coordination of Standard Operating Procedures, coordination of internal audits, supports activities for internal audits and external audits such as Accreditation Canada - Diagnostics, monitors non-conformances, occurrence reporting, corrective/preventive actions and coordinates the collection and analysis of data for improvement opportunities. Development and coordination of applications for Paradigm3 Business Management Software. Coordinates and assists in the development and data analysis of client satisfaction surveys, collaborates to create mechanisms to capture data for key indicators within the LIS and Quality System Software, supports specific activities or projects within the Quality System development, implementation and maintenance.

1. Advanced Registered Technologist or BSc in a related science or Bachelor of Technology
2. Current Registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologist of Ontario (CMLTO)
3. Demonstrated experience in Clinical Laboratory Medicine operations
4. Demonstrated strong leadership, organization and facilitation skills, customer service orientation, problem solving and project management skills
5. Demonstrated experience in the application of integrated computer systems software
6. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Quality Management Systems
7. Demonstrated excellence in communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills, team building, and the ability to initiate and model positive change
8. Knowledge of Laboratory Standards and Regulations
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
10. Recognized Academic qualifications in either, Quality Management, Business Management, Health Management or Project Management would be an asset
