Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Staff Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide expert patient care in a Dermatology, Non Hospital Surgical Facility setting, including surgical, moderate to high end Dermatology, and reprocessing duties. This role requires a strong background in nursing procedures, medical terminology, medication administration, and case management. The Senior Staff Nurse will play a vital role in delivering quality healthcare services as a part of the clinical team and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Duties
- Deliver comprehensive patient care in a Non Hospital Surgical
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all patient interactions thoroughly.
- Assist in surgical and clinical procedures including Mohs, Wide Local Excisions, HS Deroofings and moderate to high end clinical Dermatology
- Utilize electronic health records for documentation and case management.
- Monitor patient vital signs, assess symptoms, and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medication regimens, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Participate in team meetings to coordinate care strategies and improve service delivery.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards for infection control and patient safety.
Requirements
- Valid LPN nursing license with current registration.
- Proven experience in any type of surgery or medical subspecialty for at least two years
- Familiarity with electronic health records systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and case management practices.
- Experience working with diverse populations including children, seniors, or patients requiring a higher level of care
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and compassion.
