Seed Sales and Marketing Assistant (Summer Position or Co-Op Placement)

Woodstock, Ontario

Sevita International, a leader in the Canadian soybean market, is seeking a Seed Sales and Marketing Assistant to support the seed team with their customer service and advertising efforts. The successful candidate will work closely with the sales and marketing teams and report to the Marketing and Strategy Manager.

This position will allow for interaction and communication with technical and professional staff in Inkerman and Woodstock, Ontario, as well as with crop producers, agribusiness representatives, advertising and marketing professionals, and provide students with a better understanding of soybeans in Ontario. In this position, you will be a contributing member of the sales and marketing team with meaningful responsibilities. The selected candidate will gain valuable experience and developmental feedback through a paid, full-time summer position. This is an ideal opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in agriculture or marketing and communications.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and execute content creation efforts, including social media, customer newsletters, and blog posts. Increase Sevita's marketing resources portfolio through photography, videos, and drone footage of soybean plants, fields, and events.
• Assisting the sales team with sales activities, including seed deliveries and returns, field visits, and communication with growers and dealers.
• Supporting the marketing team with field advertising initiatives such as variety specific field signs, demonstration sites, and on-farm plots across Ontario.
• Update website content with plot data and variety information.
• Help organize and coordinate both in-person and virtual events, including product launches, dealer meetings, customer appreciation events, and field tours.
• Attend and assist with meetings, plot tours, promotional events, and trade shows.
• General administration support to the marketing and sales team.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Have a background, interest, or be studying business, marketing, agriculture, or agricultural business
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 25kg
• Highly motivated with the ability to work well independently and in a team environment
• Have sound judgement and critical thinking skills
• Licensed G driver with a clean record and comfortable driving long hours
• Comfortable using computers, including Adobe and Microsoft programs
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Interpersonal and customer service skills
• English/French Bilingual is an asset
• Experience in agriculture and basic agronomic knowledge is an asset

Start Date: May 6th, 2026 (flexible)

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary/Contract

Contract Length: 4 months - opportunity to extend to end of October

Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday. May be required to work longer hours or weekends during busy times of the season. Some travel within Ontario may be required.
