Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our fast-paced, global Supply Chain team. The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based in Calgary.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Procurement Specialist, you will:
- Provide direction and guidance to suppliers to reduce lead times while maintaining quality standards to meet project schedules.
- Manage RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes to fulfill service and project requirements effectively.
- Proactively identify potential supply risks and develop mitigation plans with suppliers to ensure service levels and project timelines are achieved.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Direct procurement activities using the MRP workbench and analyze/resolve MRP exception reports.
- Collaborate with suppliers to communicate and implement NovAtel procurement strategies for on-time delivery and high-quality performance.
- Support strategies such as Kanban, safety stock, and other risk mitigation programs to ensure optimal cost, quality, and delivery.
- Monitor and track shipments, ensuring proper documentation and timely delivery.
- Coordinate resolution of quality issues and expedite material shortages with suppliers.
- Assist in maintaining and setting up parts in the ERP system and participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Cross-train and provide support to the Procurement Specialist team as required.
Must-Have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain management role
- Post-secondary education
- Experience and use of ERP/MRP, Kanban, Safety stock, and visual manufacturing systems
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to achieve set objectives and deliverables
- Experience with risk mitigation strategies and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook
- Preferred experience in the manufacturing and electronics industry

Nice-to-Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain
- Proven leadership of cross-functional teams, with specific experience in facilitation roles
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Project management skills
