Applicants should have a strong background in construction and carpentry, with a focus on flooring projects.

Duties

  • Measure and prepare surfaces for flooring installation according to project specifications and blueprints
  • Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and install flooring materials accurately
  • Lay tile, hardwood, laminate, or other flooring materials with precision and attention to detail
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and installation instructions
  • Perform surface preparation tasks such as leveling, caulking, and sealing floors before installation
  • Ensure all installations meet safety standards and quality expectations
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
  • Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly

Skills

  • Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels, and measuring devices
  • Experience in construction, flooring installation, tile laying, or carpentry is highly desirable
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
  • Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing joints and edges
  • Maintenance Person experience is a plus for troubleshooting on-site issues
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision craftsmanship
  • Good physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and working in various positions over extended periods
  • Excellent teamwork skills and adherence to safety protocols
