As a Licensed Insolvency Trustee your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct consultations, assessments, commissioning, and signing meetings with debtors
  • Ensure quality and compliance with the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the firm's risk policies
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience through responsiveness and proactive service
  • Maintain professional competence in all technical and legal elements of a consumer insolvency practice
  • Communicate effectively with debtors, creditors, the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy, and the Courts through creditor meetings, reports, attendance at Court, etc.
  • Contribute to a high-performing and highly engaged team through coaching, mentoring and training colleagues
  • Represent the firm in industry organizations, events, and marketing initiatives
  • Contribute to and collaborate under a national team approach

Think you've got what it takes to be a Licensed Insolvency Trustee? Like the colour purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we're also hoping you can tick:

  • Possesses a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) designation and is a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT)
  • Five (5) or more years of work experience in a Licensed Insolvency firm with client onboarding and file administration experience
  • Contributes to and encourages an environment of high performance, accountability, empowerment, and collaboration
  • Promote brand through developing relationships with all referral sources
  • Strong technical expertise and professional advisory capabilities
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to actively listen and understand client and colleague needs
  • Passion for coaching and team development, with a commitment to personal growth
  • Solid understanding of key performance indicators and financial reporting
  • Willingness to travel to assist in the coverage of satellite offices or attending court, if required
