Position Summary

The role of Coordinator, Apparel is to assist with the daily operations of the product department. New Era's Apparel Coordinator will be part of a team for complete apparel execution and go-to-market process of all newly developed Program and Custom Apparel, as well as all other miscellaneous product related needs. 

Responsibilities 

  • Provide critical support for the daily operations of the apparel category
  • Preparation of sales rep samples and selling materials as needed
  • Coordinate calendar for the category to track product launches, events, and key category dates
  • Interact with internal marketing and sales teams to support category initiatives
  • Communicate with sales team on routine updates
  • Collects and organize prototypes in preparation for product reviews 
  • Support all SAP related system report requirements as directed.
  • Conduct competitive analysis 
  • Coordinate and monitor all league approvals 
  • Track approval status of category launches 
  • Responsible for monitoring inventory 
  • Assist in forecasting of stock items 
  • Keep all sensitive matters confidential 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Understanding of product creation process
  • Capable of collaboration with cross functional teams
  • Exhibit attention to detail and accuracy, as well as very strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with SAP and PLM preferred
  • Ability to establish relationships and interact with various levels within the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and efficiently prioritize workday to maximize productivity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Enthusiastic, pro-active, and positive person who adapts to change and with urgency and persistence
  • Takes initiative, is solution oriented and follows through on projects/requests until there is resolution
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 lbs

Education and Experience

  • Apparel and/or Fashion Design Technology Program Graduate from established Canadian College or University
  • Post-secondary Education preferred; Relevant job experience in lieu of degree will be considered
  • One (1) to three (3) years of workplace experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of sportswear or apparel industry preferred

Travel Requirement

  • 0% to 5%; domestic and/or global

The salary range for this posted position is $50,000 - $56,500 CAD (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Mississauga, Ontario. Actual compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
