Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000/annum

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analystics, the Financial Analyst will elevate strategic and tactical decision-making—particularly for Corporate Stores—by translating data into clear, actionable insights. You'll design, build, and automate financial models and reporting; lead cross-functional analyses with Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Development to help support decision making for business. The role blends strong technical skills with business acumen, attention to detail, and a collaborative, growth-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

To effectively complete the responsibilities of this position, the candidate will be responsible for the effective completion of the following items, as well as other tasks as assigned/required:

Reporting & Insights

Own the monthly reporting package: consolidate data from multiple systems (e.g., ERP, FP&A, POS) and deliver executive-ready summaries, highlights, and trends for senior leadership and the Board.Produce dynamic, self-serve dashboards and visuals (e.g., Power BI/Tableau) that provide performance transparency and facilitate decision-making.

Planning, Forecasting & Modeling

Lead driver-based budgeting, latest estimates, and rolling forecasts for Corporate Stores and functions; maintain assumptions, drivers, and scenario libraries.
Build robust financial models and templates to support operational and strategic initiatives (e.g., labor, inventory, store economics, capital, new product business cases).

Cross-Functional Partnership

Serve as finance lead for cross-functional projects with Operations and Supply Chain (e.g., network optimization, shrink/waste, inventory turns, logistics costs).Partner with Marketing and Purchasing on pricing strategy, promotions, and margin optimization; translate insights into clear recommendations.

Forecasting & Analytics Enablement

Support forecasts for tests, new product launches, and campaigns; monitor performance versus plan and recommend course corrections.Identify high-risk areas (supply, cost, demand) and collaborate with teams to proactively mitigate exposure.

Automation & Process Improvement

 Automate recurring reporting and data preparation using Power Query, advanced Excel, and AI proficiency; champion process simplification and standardization.Improve data integration from ERP/FP&A tools (e.g., NetSuite, Vena) to reduce manual effort and enhance accuracy.

Data Integrity & Governance

Uphold data quality standards; document assumptions, sources, and definitions; ensure consistent KPI tracking across teams.Contribute to finance systems enhancements and digital transformation initiatives.

Scenario Planning & Risk Management

Perform sensitivity and stress testing for major initiatives; quantify financial impacts under different scenarios (best/base/worst case).
Develop mitigation recommendations and contingency plans.

Ad-Hoc Analysis

Respond to time-sensitive analysis requests with clear methodology, findings, and recommended actions.

Qualifications:

Post-secondary degree, preferably in Business/Commerce, Finance, Economics, or a quantitative field.CPA designation or near completion is an asset.2+ years of relevant analytics/FP&A experience working with large datasets and complex, multi-source reporting.Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, nested formulas, Power Query; macros/VBA an asset); ability to build efficient, maintainable models.Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI or Tableau) and FP&A/ERP platforms (e.g., Vena, NetSuite) considered a strong asset; quick to learn new systems.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and storytelling skills—able to distill complex data into clear insights and recommendations.High attention to detail, organization, and reliability in meeting deadlines.Confident communicator who can influence and represent the finance perspective in cross-functional settings.Comfortable working independently while thriving in collaborative, fast-paced team environments; growth mindset.Overall, we are looking for a highly driven individual that wants to invest time and grow their career.
