Group2 Architecture Interior Design Ltd. (Group2) is a firm focused on using collaborative techniques to deliver value to clients in the recreational, educational, commercial and health care sectors. Group2 was established in Red Deer in 1985 and has studios in Red Deer, Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon and Ottawa.

Our Ottawa studio is currently seeking a motivated Intern Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a well-organized team player with a passion for design excellence.

In your role as an Intern Architect, you will:

  • Support the architectural team throughout the entire design process on projects.
  • Contribute to the development of contract documents including detailing and coordination across disciplines.
  • Assist with contract administration responsibilities.
  • Organize and maintain project files.
  • Assist with the preparation of required project documents, minutes, schedules and specifications.
  • Achieve goals aligned with the mission, vision, and values of the firm.

Qualifications and Skill Set

  • University degree in Architecture.
  • Registration with AAA as an Intern Architect.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an architectural firm.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Revit.
  • Self-starter with excellent communication and design thinking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize to work independently and collaborate as part of a team.
  • Ethical and responsible decision-making ability.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills.
