In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting and tax services, including preparing corporate financial statements, managing corporate and personal income tax returns, conducting tax planning, performing financial analysis, and providing advisory services. You will work closely with clients from various sectors, ensuring compliance with Canadian accounting standards, accurate reporting, and personalized guidance to support their financial success. This is a FT, permanent, in-office position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review financial statements, working papers, and compilation engagements using CaseWare software.
  • Complete corporate, personal, and trust tax returns, along with GST/HST returns, utilizing Profile software.
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks and ensure accurate financial record-keeping as needed.
  • Provide tax planning, financial analysis, and advisory support to help clients optimize their financial strategies.
  • Communicate directly with clients to address inquiries, offer expert guidance, and deliver exceptional, client-focused service.
  • Collaborate with the firm owner and team members to maintain high-quality standards, meet deadlines, and support overall firm goals.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Approximately 2-3 years of progressive experience in general financial accounting.
  • Proficiency in CaseWare, Profile, and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Knowledge of Canadian tax laws, accounting standards (ASPE/IFRS), and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong organizational abilities, with proven skills in managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-centric mindset.
