Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of freight. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely Pick ups/deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Duties

  • Operate trucks to transport goods to designated locations in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Able to push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs. use a wheeler, Power jeep
  • Operate company's new fully refrigerated trucks, trailers to transport materials from one site to another.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery records.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
  • Operate forklifts and heavy equipment when required for loading or unloading freight.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with a focus on freight transportation.
  • Strong understanding of automotive repair principles is a plus.
  • Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment is highly desirable.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
  • Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policies.
