Job Overview

YES Tech Computer Service Ltd. is a technology company based in Saskatoon specializing in website design and development, including e-commerce platforms, online booking systems, and custom web applications. Our company also provides restaurant online ordering and management solutions, including an in-house mobile app for order notifications and automatic printing.

We are seeking a Bilingual Software Testing Technician (Mandarin & English) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing and ensuring the quality of web, mobile, and mini-program applications across various platforms. This role requires strong analytical and testing skills, the ability to communicate in both English and Mandarin, and the independence to manage tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.

Duties

  • Develop, document, and execute test plans, cases, and scripts for websites, e-commerce systems, and mobile applications.
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing across desktop, mobile, and WeChat mini-program environments.
  • Conduct manual and automated testing of online ordering, booking, and payment systems to ensure stability and usability.
  • Identify, track, and verify software defects in collaboration with developers and project managers.
  • Ensure data accuracy and transaction integrity within e-commerce and order management systems.
  • Prepare and maintain test documentation and reports; provide clear feedback to the development team.
  • Work with version control and project tracking tools such as Git, GitHub, and Jira.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, recommending enhancements for performance and user experience.
  • Coordinate with developers and clients to verify software functionality in both English and Chinese environments.
  • Assist in testing and validating restaurant online management applications, including order alerts and automated printing.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in both Mandarin and English (verbal and written).
  • Proven experience in software or web testing, particularly in e-commerce systems, content management systems (CMS), and web-based platforms.
  • Experience in WeChat mini-program development or testing is required.
  • Knowledge of web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with QA tools such as Postman, Selenium, or similar testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with database testing using MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform testing (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS).
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based or client-server systems (AWS or similar) is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$40.00 per hour
