Summary:

Geo Resource Ltd is seeking a Principal Resource Geologist to play a key role in the resource estimation and geological modelling of a leading gold project in Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for resource evaluation, geological modelling, and mentoring a technical team, ensuring best practices in resource development.

Key Responsibilities:
Resource Estimation & Geological Modelling:
  • Lead the development of high-quality resource models using industry best practices.
  • Apply 3D geological modelling and geostatistical techniques to improve resource estimation.
  • Oversee QA/QC processes to ensure data integrity and model accuracy.
Project & Technical Leadership:
  • Work closely with the Exploration and Mine Planning teams to guide drilling programs.
  • Conduct detailed deposit evaluations and contribute to feasibility studies.
  • Ensure all resource estimation work complies with NI standards.
Mentorship & Team Development:
  • Train and mentor junior and mid-level geologists on resource estimation methodologies.
  • Foster a collaborative environment to drive continuous improvement in geological practices.
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting:
  • Prepare and present technical reports, models, and interpretations to management and investors.
  • Work with external consultants and QPs to support project advancement.
Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum 15 years of experience in resource geology, including advanced gold projects.
Strong knowledge of 3D geological modelling, block modelling, and geostatistics.
Proficiency in Leapfrog, Datamine, or other geological modelling software.
Previous experience with Canadian gold projects and compliance with NI reporting.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
