Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves operating heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials efficiently and safely across various job sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, familiarity with heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety standards. Prior experience with forklift operation, freight handling, or automotive repair is a plus, contributing to the smooth operation of our fleet and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, debris, or other bulk loads to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and proper functioning.
  • Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws while on the road to prevent accidents or violations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered during transportation.

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for dump trucks.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts is preferred.
  • Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations related to commercial driving.
  • Basic automotive repair skills are advantageous for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various work environments.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety standards.
  • Prior experience in construction, transportation, or related industries is desirable but not mandatory.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
