Job Description
RST is a recognized leader in safe, efficient tank transportation throughout Atlantic Canada, Ontario, Quebec and the eastern United States. In addition to conveying cargo in line with top tier industry standards, RST also provides emergency response and training services throughout Atlantic Canada. This position will appeal to those who like to work in a fast-paced environment, can multitask and have a high standard for their work.

Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations within the Province of Quebec.
- Manage operational relationships with customers and terminal managers ensuring service that is seamless and reliable.
- Coach, develop, and manage direct reports.
- Lead productivity improvement initiatives for increased efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Manage productivity of fleet, to ensure appropriate level of miles and revenue is generated by drivers while meeting regulatory requirements such as hours of service.
- Contribute to and deliver short-term and long-term operational strategies to accelerate business growth.
- Manage operational metrics including driver performance scorecards.
- Resolve escalated driver issues and direct team on action required.
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement.
- Vacation coverage of staff.

- Gérer les relations opérationnelles avec les clients et les gestionnaires de terminaux afin d'assurer un service fluide et fiable.
- Encadrer, développer et gérer les membres de l'équipe sous sa responsabilité.
- Diriger des initiatives d'amélioration de la productivité pour accroître l'efficacité et la rentabilité.
- Gérer la productivité de la flotte afin d'assurer un niveau adéquat de kilomètres et de revenus générés par les chauffeurs tout en respectant les exigences réglementaires telles que les heures de service.
- Contribuer à l'élaboration et à la mise en œuvre de stratégies opérationnelles à court et à long terme pour accélérer la croissance de l'entreprise.
- Gérer les indicateurs opérationnels, y compris les tableaux de bord de performance des chauffeurs.
- Résoudre les problèmes escaladés des chauffeurs et diriger l'équipe sur les actions à entreprendre.
- Favoriser un environnement d'amélioration continue.
- Assurer la relève pendant les vacances du personnel.
Qualifications
- Education Required: Post-secondary education (preferably Transportation/Logistics, Business or Engineering fields)
- Years of Experience Required:3+ years of professional work experience in leadership roles with responsibility over P&L and safety results.
- Proven supervisory experience.
- Able to execute in fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to deliver results.
- Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Will be energetic, enthusiastic, and team oriented.
- Exceptional organization, decision making and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Must be committed to quality, safety and service.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is required.
- Travel Required: Yes (25-30% of time).
- Formation requise : Études postsecondaires (de préférence en transport/logistique, administration ou ingénierie).
- Expérience requise : Minimum de 3 ans d'expérience professionnelle dans des rôles de leadership avec responsabilité sur les résultats financiers et de sécurité.
- Expérience en supervision est un atout.
- Capacité à performer dans un environnement dynamique.
- Aptitude démontrée à obtenir des résultats.
- Excellentes compétences en communication, relations interpersonnelles et négociation.
- Énergie, enthousiasme et esprit d'équipe.
- Excellentes aptitudes en organisation, prise de décision et résolution de problèmes.
- Très bonne maîtrise des outils informatiques (Microsoft Office).
- Engagement envers la qualité, la sécurité et le service.
- Bilinguisme (français/anglais) requis.
- Déplacements requis : Oui (25 à 30 % du temps).
