We are looking to fill an open, full-time Formulation Technician position within our busy and growing team

Job Duties

  • Operating various types of equipment such as centrifugal pumps, diaphragm pumps, mixers, scales, hoists, pressure washers etc.
  • Unloading tankers into bulk tanks
  • Loading out tankers
  • Reading and understanding SDS sheets to ensure proper PPE is utilized
  • Following strict blending instructions and procedures to ensure safe & accurate formulating
  • Documenting batch records
  • Using RF scanners to record production and inventory
  • Performing quality inspections as needed
  • Maintaining a clean and organized formulation area
  • Understanding and troubleshooting equipment
  • Line Setup/change overs
  • Performing limited site equipment maintenance as needed
  • Ensure accurate inventory for bulk and equipment
  • Other related duties as required or assigned

Required Knowledge:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Adaptable, fast thinking with the ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to follow instructions and the training provided
  • Basic math, communication & problem-solving skills
  • Prior TDG experience and training required
  • One year counterbalance forklift driving required
  • Experience handling chemicals considered an asset
  • Shunt truck and skid steer experience considered an asset

Qualifications:

  • Manual dexterity to work with tankers, pumps and other associated equipment
  • Comfortable with working at heights and previous working at heights training considered an asset
  • Overtime as required
  • Requirement to work both inside and outside in all conditions
  • Able to identify any health and safety issues
