Role Description

This is a part time role for a Bookkeeper located in the Greater Montreal Metropolitan Area. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, managing journal entries, and utilizing accounting software. Day-to-day tasks include tracking expenses, reconciling accounts, maintaining financial reports, and assisting with finance-related tasks to ensure smooth business operations.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Bookkeeping and handling Journal Entries
• Experience in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software for day-to-day financial tasks
• Strong understanding of Finance and accounting principles
• Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in accounting or finance are an asset
• Experience in the construction industry is an added advantage
• build a budget & forecast
• Declaration of wages to the CNESST
• Monthly notice of assessment to the CNESST
• Classification of employees
• tracking metrics like revenue, gross & net profit, etc.
• Putting money away for taxes
• Working with quickbooks and jobber to keep track of invoices
• Helping set budgets
• Filing QST & GST/HST Returns Quarterly
