Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Spanish Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in language instruction, curriculum development, and classroom management. This role involves fostering a positive learning environment for students of diverse backgrounds, promoting language proficiency, and supporting their academic growth through innovative teaching methods and culturally responsive instruction. Experience in higher education settings, private schools, or special education is highly valued. The successful candidate will contribute to our mission of providing high-quality literacy and language education, utilizing modern learning technology and instructional design principles.

Duties

  • Excellent French and English skills (oral and written)
  • Certified teacher (OCT or equivalent) with a degree in education (B.Ed. or M.Ed.)
  • Ability to teach in French and english (native language)
  • Good knowledge of the French curriculum
  • Experience as a Spanish teacher
  • Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Ontarian programs would be an asset
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment strategies
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate students and collaborate with colleagues
  • Proficiency in classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
  • Expertise in teaching Spanish at various levels, including higher education or private school experience preferred
  • Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and literacy education methodologies
  • Ability to adapt lessons for special education needs or Montessori-based classrooms if applicable
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds with varied learning styles
  • Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, record keeping, and instructional coordination
  • Knowledge of research methods related to language acquisition, linguistics, or education administration
  • Competency in using library services, research tools, and learning technology platforms for instructional purposes
