Job Title: (Backend Engineer) – Tech (Java, Spring Boot Required)

Location: Toronto, Canada, but open to Latin America, Mexico, and Brazil – Hybrid/Remote

Duration: Long-term Contract

80% backend Required

Strong communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable, highly available user-facing applications and
    RESTful APIs.
  • Develop scalable, highly available user-facing applications using
    React, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Utilize HTML/CSS, UI Frameworks, , Java, and Scala in system
    development.
  • Commit to a continuous integration and deployment pipeline for efficient delivery.
  • Operate in a multi-disciplinary
    Agile team, delivering incremental value quickly.
  • Engage in technical discussions, influence decision-making, and share your technical expertise.

Job Requirements:

  • BS/BA in Computer Science
    or related field with
    8+ years
    of professional experience, or
    MS
    with
    6+ years
    of relevant experience.
  • Strong experience with:
  • Java
  • Spring Boot
  • JavaScript
  • Scala
  • Oracle/NoSQL databases
  • Proven ability to build web applications and RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency in UI frameworks such as
    React
    and backend frameworks such as
    Spring MVC / Spring Boot
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    core computer science principles
    – data structures and algorithms.
  • Exposure to
    GraphQL
    and experience building GraphQL APIs is desirable.
  • Contributions to
    open source projects, GitHub repos, or side projects
    are a plus.
