We are currently seeking an
Operations Supervisor
to join our Moncton, NB team. The Supervisor provides "hands-on" proactive management of the employees and Owner Operators involved in the daily handling of packages and freight within prescribed policies and time frames. This Supervisor role currently manages Owner Operator, hourly warehouse/customer service staff as well as third party pick-up & delivery routes on a daily basis.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establishes/implements productivity, quality and cost measurements & strategies to achieve desired operational results.
- Ensures timely and accurate distribution of inbound and/or outgoing freight daily, in accordance with established standards and procedures.
- Ensures sufficient staff resources, materials and supplies on hand at all times.
- Ensures warehouse is organized and set up for next shift.
- Maintains equipment, in safe, efficient operating condition at all times.
- Establishes/maintains a proactive safety program in compliance with legislative requirements and the collective agreement.
- Investigates employee concerns, prepares written replies and liaisons with the Manager, Employee Relations & Area Manager re: final responses.
- Identifies/tracks/adjusts operation to meet delivery and pick up standards by auditing & measuring productivity (KPI).
- Addresses Customer complaints in a professional, expedient manner.
- Ensure targets are met daily with respect to productivity and service levels.
- Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures are met by staff.
- Improve/reduce operational costs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Warehouse and or delivery operations experience in courier or related industry.
- Working experience with scheduling and meeting deadlines and solving problems.
- Proven ability to work through employees, training, and process/policy to attain goals.
- Ability to thrive and work effectively in a fast paced and sometimes hectic work environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proven communication skills - written & oral.
- PC skills (Basic Word processing & spreadsheet).
- Demonstrated drive, initiative & flexibility to ensure task completion.
- Manage multiple activities/deadlines/reports.
- Flexible hours.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work 3pm to Midnight, Sunday to Thursday.

Superviseur des opérations

. Le superviseur assure une gestion proactive et pratique des employés et des propriétaires-opérateurs impliqués dans la manutention quotidienne des colis et du fret, conformément aux politiques et aux délais établis. Ce rôle supervise actuellement les propriétaires-opérateurs, le personnel horaire d'entrepôt et du service à la clientèle, ainsi que les itinéraires de ramassage et de livraison effectués par des tiers sur une base quotidienne.
TÂCHES ET RESPONSABILITÉS
- Établir et mettre en œuvre des mesures et des stratégies de productivité, de qualité et de réduction des coûts afin d'atteindre les résultats opérationnels souhaités.
- Assurer une distribution rapide et précise du fret entrant et/ou sortant, conformément aux normes et procédures établies.
- Veiller à disposer en tout temps de ressources en personnel, matériaux et fournitures suffisants.
- S'assurer que l'entrepôt est organisé et prêt pour le quart de travail suivant.
- Maintenir l'équipement dans un état sécuritaire et efficace en tout temps.
- Établir et maintenir un programme de sécurité proactif conforme aux exigences législatives et à la convention collective.
- Enquêter sur les préoccupations des employés, préparer des réponses écrites et collaborer avec le gestionnaire des relations avec les employés ainsi qu'avec le gestionnaire de zone pour les réponses finales.
- Identifier, suivre et ajuster les opérations afin de respecter les normes de livraison et de ramassage, en auditant et en mesurant la productivité (ICP).
- Traiter les plaintes des clients de manière professionnelle et rapide.
- S'assurer que les objectifs quotidiens en matière de productivité et de niveaux de service sont atteints.
- Veiller à ce que le personnel respecte les politiques et procédures de l'entreprise.
- Optimiser et réduire les coûts opérationnels.
- Effectuer toute autre tâche assignée.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Expérience en opérations d'entrepôt et/ou de livraison dans le secteur de la messagerie ou une industrie connexe.
- Expérience pratique en planification, respect des délais et résolution de problèmes.
- Capacité démontrée à travailler avec les employés, à les former et à appliquer des processus et politiques pour atteindre les objectifs.
- Capacité à s'épanouir et à travailler efficacement dans un environnement rapide et parfois mouvementé.
- Excellentes compétences interpersonnelles.
- Solides compétences en communication écrite et orale.
- Connaissance de base des outils informatiques (traitement de texte et tableurs).
- Motivation, initiative et flexibilité démontrées pour assurer l'achèvement des tâches.
- Capacité à gérer plusieurs activités, délais et rapports simultanément.
- Disponibilité pour des horaires flexibles.
EXIGENCES:
