Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Mechanic Level 2 to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on training and the opportunity to develop essential skills in mechanical repair and maintenance. The Apprentice Mechanic will work closely with experienced technicians to learn industry best practices, troubleshoot equipment issues, and contribute to the smooth operation of our machinery and systems. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about mechanics and eager to build a professional career in the field.

Duties

  • Assist senior mechanics with routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and machinery
  • Learn to diagnose mechanical issues through inspection and testing
  • Support in replacing worn or damaged parts using proper tools and techniques
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures during all tasks
  • Document work performed, including repairs, parts used, and observations for record-keeping purposes
  • Participate in training sessions to improve technical knowledge and skills
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes

Experience

  • Registered Level 2 Apprentice or actively enrolled in an automotive apprenticeship program
  • Some hands-on shop experience required
  • Basic working knowledge of hand tools, shop equipment, and automotive systems
  • Ability to follow repair procedures, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines
  • Strong interest in automotive diagnostics and repair with willingness to continue learning
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable, punctual, and physically able to perform shop duties

This position provides valuable on-the-job training, fostering growth into a skilled mechanic. Candidates should be eager to learn, reliable, and committed to safety standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
