Position Summary

Achev is seeking a Senior Manager, Employer Relationships to lead a team of Employer Liaisons in strengthening and expanding our relationships with employers across the GTA to help them access the talent they need, while expanding Achēv's presence in the business community.

We are looking for a leader who will lead by example, and experience, to grow our employer network through outreach and engagement of HR professionals and hiring managers and deliver strong employment outcomes for Achev.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Employment Services, this role combines strategic planning, coaching, and managing day-to-day operations of the Employer Liaison team. You will support the team in embracing an enhanced employer-focused approach through proactive outreach, assessed through performance targets and management of budgets including employer incentive budgets within Employment Ontario guidelines. The Senior Manager will champion service quality, compliance, and continuous improvement while building strategic employer partnerships that create meaningful employment opportunities for job seekers.

This position requires strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, proven leadership experience and sales experience. The successful candidate will be committed to Achēv's mission of connecting talent with opportunity and advancing workforce development.

Key Responsibilities

• Secure and manage key employer relationships for the organization
• Develop and oversee an enhanced, proactive employer engagement strategy
• Lead by example; develop and maintain strong relationships with employers, industry partners, and community stakeholders to expand Achev's employer network.
• Lead and manage Liaison Coordinator and Employer Liaison team across multiple Achev sites in the GTA
• Provide coaching, training, and performance management to staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Oversee employer incentive budgets, and performance metrics to achieve program outcomes
• Monitor and report on budgets, expenditures, and compliance requirements; ensure accurate financial tracking and reconciliation.
• Ensure collaboration and service coordination across all Achev management teams and departments
• Collaborate with senior leadership on operational improvements, business planning, and strategic initiatives.
• Represent Achev at employer meetings, networking events, and community activities across Peel, York, and Toronto regions.
• Ensure adherence to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles in hiring and employer engagement practices.
• Hybrid- minimum 2 days a week in office, regular travel required throughout GTA

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Sales, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of demonstrated experience in sales and recruitment, lead generation, securing business, and achieving targets
• Strong understanding of Ontario's labour market and business recruitment needs.
• Proven experience in budget management and financial reporting; strong proficiency in Excel.
• Well-developed people management skills and experience strongly preferred
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills with experience in change management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance targets.
• Familiarity with CRMs such as Salesforce
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel across the GTA
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as required.
• Clear criminal record check.
