Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDR) to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in ensuring the safety and sterility of medical instruments used in patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sterile processing procedures, anatomy, and physiology, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Duties

  • Properly clean, disinfect, and sterilize reusable medical devices and instruments following established protocols
  • Manage inventory of sterilized supplies, ensuring accurate tracking and restocking as needed
  • Prepare instruments for sterilization using aseptic techniques to prevent contamination
  • Inspect instruments for damage or wear, ensuring only fully functional equipment is used in procedures
  • Maintain detailed documentation of reprocessing activities in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines related to infection control, handling biohazardous materials appropriately

Skills

  • MDR - Medical Device Reprocessing Certification
  • Previous experience in surgical, procedural, or outpatient clinic setting is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of infection prevention and control principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols.
  • Ability to apply aseptic technique consistently during device reprocessing and handling
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a clinical setting

Schedule

  • Part-time hours. Procedure - based scheduling

This position plays a vital role in supporting efficient procedure flow and maintaining a safe clinical environment.
