Role Overview

We are seeking a highly capable and emotionally intelligent Technical Lead to drive a complex Technology Rationalization Project. This role will be responsible for Managing diverse teams in the decommissioning process of IT assets, encompassing SaaS, COTS, internally built applications, and data platforms. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a robust technical base, strategic attitude, and the capability to transform complex requirements into feasible plans.

Responsibilities

  • Led technical initiatives built on phasing out IT resources, including Software as a Service (SaaS), Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) solutions, internally composed applications, and associated data.
  • Develop and implement detailed strategies for transferring data, storing information, and retiring systems.
  • Engage with business and technical partners to comprehend requirements, constraints, and dependencies.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable work for diverse audiences.
  • Ensure alignment with ITSM foundations, CMDB practices, and project governance frameworks.
  • Lead work items using Azure DevOps and Scrum methodologies.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain situational awareness across project details and strategic objectives, switching seamlessly between tactical and big-picture thinking.
  • Support capability mapping and rationalization analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Work together with teams managing mining systems and operational technology as needed.

Qualifications

  • Tangible history of coordinating technical teams and encouraging relationships with customers with a focus on emotional intelligence.
  • Established proficiency in IT asset decommissioning, covering SaaS, COTS, custom applications, and data systems.
  • Sound understanding of data migration, archival strategies, and compliance requirements.
  • Solid grasp of:
  • ITSM foundations
  • Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
  • Azure DevOps
  • Scrum and Agile methodologies
  • Project management principles
  • Ability to mentor and develop others, nurturing technical growth and team cohesion.
  • Proactive individual who excels at working independently and swiftly adjusting to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in technology rationalization initiatives and capability mapping is a plus.
  • Expertise in mining frameworks and connected technologies (preferred).

  • Background in streamlining technology operations.
  • Understanding of enterprise capability models and technology alignment.
  • Proficiency in mining systems and operational technology settings.
