Purpose Of Job
The CAN ABC Sales Associate provides fast and friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. This role maintains the condition of the sales floor, ensuring that it is clean and shoppable. They will also make deliveries and test/install car batteries.

Job Components

• Provide fast and friendly service.
• Actively seek out and take an interest in customers.
• Offer a friendly greeting, smile, and make eye contact with customers.
• Ask open-ended questions in order to determine customer needs.
• Is knowledgeable about products.
• Advise customers about member benefits, promotions, and sales while answering questions about merchandise.
• Describe features and benefits of merchandise.
• Drive sales by discussing available options (good, better, best) and suggesting related items.
• Set and achieve personal sales goals.
• Assist with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
• Ensure store is in stock, clean, and shoppable.
• Manage financial transactions.
• Test and install batteries including car/truck batteries.
• May use company vehicle to make local deliveries.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Previous retail experience is preferred.
• Previous delivery driving experience is preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record are required.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Ability to work Saturdays and some holidays.

Work Environment

• Position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, climbing, kneeling, lifting and carrying up to 80 pounds.
• Work involves some irregularities and difficulties with repetitive and varied tasks.
• Primarily retail store setting, however, frequently exposed to dirt, dust, fumes, temperature extremes, dampness and battery acid as is normal to warehouse environment in this business.
• Stress associated with workplace pressure and the retail environment.
